| The project consisted of an $8 million building expansion, associated parking, and detention/ water quality pond improvements. The expansion consisted of two phases of 60,000 square feet (I) and 44,000 square feet (II).
UDG provided all civil engineering and surveying services including review of the existing approved PDA site plan and the required revisions. UDG worked with the architect and client to establish current and future needs and the best methodology to revise existing improvements and design new facilities. UDG prepared grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation plans and processed a revision to the approved site plan. Work required a pollution abatement plan to be prepared and processed through the TNRCC. UDG designed a delayed-detention pond in an undersized existing pond location to provide water quality and detention functions. UDG worked with the client and adjacent neighbors to ensure a responsive design to neighborhood concerns. UDG provided construction phase services and spot design for small utility and drainage problems around the existing R&D facility. |
