|UDG provided civil engineering and design and surveying services for a 6.63 acre mixed-use project consisting of a 253 unit multi-family project and 9,075 square foot retail development. UDG provided a tree and topographic survey, site grading and drainage, utility connections, and erosion/sedimentation control.
The project was approved by the City of Austin for site development and UDG provided construction phase services. The project required presentation to a neighborhood group and detailed analysis of the on-site shared parking and on-street parking layout. The sidewalk and pedestrian improvements include street trees, landscaping and retail enhancements. The on-street parking layout required review of South Congress street design and traffic patterns. .
The project is located on South Congress in an urban watershed and includes 570 linear feet of 48" storm sewer design, associated drainage and grading improvements. The project was a redevelopment of an existing apartment complex and vacant lot and incorporated pedestrian-oriented design aspects suggested by the South Congress Improvement Project Enhancement Guidelines.
