The North Drive/FM 397 project consisted of the extension of the City of Taylor's wastewater system to provide wastewater service to a new school. UDG provided surveying and engineering design for wastewater improvements that included 124 l.f. of 8" wastewater line, 3,221 l.f. of 10" wastewater line, 129 LF of 12" wastewater line, 11 wastewater manholes and 160 LF of bore under FM 397. Services also included acquisition of a TxDOT utility permit, preparation of a traffic control plan and preparation of utility easements.

The Bull Branch project consisted of the design of street, drainage, water and wastewater improvements for a 61-lot TDHCA funded affordable residential subdivision. Wastewater improvements included 127 LF of 6" wastewater line, 1,831 LF of 8" wastewater line, 1132 LF of 15" wastewater line and 15 manholes. UDG provided surveying and engineering design for these improvements. UDG prepared construction plans and technical specifications and assisted the City of Taylor in publicly bidding this project. UDG provided construction phase services to include site visits and processing of contractor pay estimates. Services also included acquisition of a TNRCC permit.

UDG served as project manager for both projects for all surveying and design work. On the Bull Branch project, UDG staff investigated and evaluated the existing 15" wastewater line for realignment needed to construct subdivision improvements. On the North Drive/FM 397 project UDG staff designed all wastewater improvements. For both projects, UDG prepared contract documents and assisted the City of Taylor with bidding.
