UDG worked as a subconsultant to Antoine Predock & Cotera Kolar, Negrete & Reed Architects providing the civil engineering design services. These services included site grading, drainage and utilities. Permitting services required separate permitting of the pedestrian tunnel and parking garage excavation and building and plaza. Work also included LEED's analysis and preparation of the traffic control plan. The planning and design of the public plaza and Great Streets sidewalks required considerable attention to landscape and water quality issues. Coordination with existing utilities and adjacent construction required phasing of the permitting and bidding. Civil work also included on-street parking improvements, pedestrian crosswalks and conceptual design of Cesar Chavez pedestrian median alternatives.
