| The $32.6 million project consists of a new parking garage constructed at 4th and Red River to serve the Austin Convention Center. The building also houses a new chilled water facility for Austin Energy and retail spaces on the ground floor.
UDG, as a subconsultant to Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects, is providing civil engineering services. Services include schematic design and preparation of site development permit documents. The project will comply with the Great Streets sidewalk design which has required utility and drainage coordination and design. UDG coordinated floodplain work between the City of Austin and the floodplain engineer. UDG worked with the architect in order to define the Capital View Corridor which affects this project and will handle required street vacation and license agreement approval. UDG prepared grading, drainage and utility plans and will process documents through the City of Austin review process. |
