Daniel Ruiz Public Library
Austin, Texas
The Daniel E. Ruiz Library projected consisted of the construction of a 15,000 square foot library and associated parking facilities on a 5.2 acre site on Grove Blvd. in southeast Austin. UDG conducted a feasibility analysis for three possible sites for this proposed library. Analysis included drainage, impervious cover allowances, access, utilities and economic impacts. After assisting the owner in site selection, UDG prepared construction documents which included a site plan, water service and off-site wastewater main, site grading, and a water quality/two-year detention pond. UDG conducted a floodplain study for the tributary of Country Club Creek that runs through the site. UDG provided construction phase services including submittal review and on-site observation of on-going construction.
